It doesn’t seem like PC gamers are getting the full range of updates to Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 that their console counter parts are this 4th of July. Why no updates for PC Ubi? Oh hang on I don’t live in North America and can’t play this game anyway - fix that first!

The DOD Source beta has now been wrapped and merged into the main game as of today. The update is called Palermo after the dod_palermo map bundled with the update. The patch includes the achievements, stats tracking and all the other updates we have mentioned previously in our beta updates. Go get it!
Valve have confirmed that the Heavy class will receive the next update pack in Team Fortress 2. This confirmation comes from the official TF2 blog (now with added RSS) which Valve are going to use to open up the development process of these updates.
In the heavy update they go into what issues need to be addressed and how the game should be balanced. The feed is definately worth subscribing to if you like to keep track of the inner workings of the mothership.
Gamecock have pushed their first two titles on to Steam and around the world today. Stronghold Crusader Extreme and Insecticide Part 1 are now available for $29.99 and $14.99 respectively. I played Stronghold back in the day and quite enjoyed it and the extreme edition certainly seems to warrant the name after looking at the crazy numbers of units that can be on the screen at one time.

Jack Keane and Planet Busters are now available on Steam for $26.99 and $8.99 respectively. Jack Keane appears to be a traditional style point and click adventure game in the vein of those Lucasarts classics. Planet Busters is a puzzle action game with a scifi theme but best of all it has 9 Steam achievements to collect!
The bug fixing continued this week for some of top titles on Steam.

It’s been a bit crazy at Steam Report HQ the last few days - John and I have been consolidating our abode (that’s moving in to a new house together for those of us who talk normally), and the house looks like a bomb site.
While we’ve been doing this, a coupld of games have been released - Crazy Machines 2 a strategy game that looks a bit like the calssic Incredible Machine (trailer available) and Out of the Park Baseball. Not much else to say about them except that if you’re interested, check them out for $19.99 and $39.99 respectively.
